Our Quickie on the Coast tour visits three of the following venues.

Precinct Brewing
The Gold Coast’s first brewpub, Precinct Brewing, opened in an old auto electrician’s space and converted it into a funky, music-filled, family-friendly venue serving delicious pizzas (we may enjoy one for lunch!) and beers poured straight from the tanks. Featuring a range of beers brewed on site, as well as a rotating list of local, independent craft beers, it’s easy to kick back and stay all day.
Madocke Beer Brewing Company
The Gold Coast’s only Belgian brewery, and the only Belgian-owned, Belgian brewery in Australia, Madocke Brewing has swung open the doors to their brand new, full-scale brewery! A welcoming venue with an authentic outdoor beer garden, the charm here makes it hard to tear yourself away. Guests relax with true-blue Belgian beer made right here on the Gold Coast and can hear the story of their humble beginnings. A core-range of beers plus special releases ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Burleigh Brewing Co
Queensland’s longest-running and largest independent brewery, the family-operated Burleigh Brewing, has been a pioneer in bringing craft beer to the masses. You may know them best for their Bighead Lager, but they offer so much more than that. Here you get to see where the magic happens as you sample their well-known beers and try some special releases – maybe even take some home with you! If we time it right, we may get to indulge in a tour of their brewery.
Black Hops HQ or BHII
Kicking goals across Australia, Black Hops Brewing have built an intimate venue at Burleigh (HQ) with a tasting room perfectly structured to sample their range of delicious beers. With 16 taps, there’s always something new and different – especially as part of their “recon series” – and some flavours may challenge your tastebuds.

And the site is slightly less intimate but big and shiny at Black Hops II, also pouring 16 taps of the good stuff.

If they’re around, we will take the time to speak to the brewers, learn about the brewing process, and see how everything functions by getting up close and personal.

BOBs – Best of Beers
Situated on a quiet corner in Surfers Paradise, BOBs – which stands for Best of Beers – offers guests a respite from the craziness of the Glitter Strip. With a mouth-watering food menu and beers that are brewed just behind the bar, it’s a great place to end the day and transition to the night. With award-winning beers on tap, try a saison, a sour, a stout or a delicious lager.
Lost Palms
With fresh and funky Miami vibes, Lost Palms is all about embracing the Gold Coast lifestyle! Here we have the chance to kick back and relax, try some of their delicious cold brews, and learn all about beer. Here we take you through the brewing process to get a better understanding of what makes your beer beer.
Currumbin Valley Brewing
After years of making themselves known within the wider beer world, winning awards along the way, the duo at Currumbin Valley Brewing have finally opened their Currumbin-based taproom. With copper tanks, a delicious food menu, and a range of beers from their popular Grape Bubblegum Sour to their traditional saisons and a summer stout for the warm days, the rustic charm of the taproom will make this a highlight of your day.
Balter Brewing
Balter Brewing, the one you’ve most likely heard all about and tried on many occasions, is situated on the southern end of the Gold Coast. Whether you’re sipping a classic XPA or trying something new on tap, these guys are always flexing their creative muscles.
The Lucky Squire
Most Aussies know of James Squire, but stepping into this wood-fitted taphouse in Broadbeach might change what you think you know about the brand. Sample some of their well-known offerings, like Hop Thief American Pale Ale, or try something new and delicious that’s been brewed on site.
Pick Up & Drop Off Details

Where a location is indicated, we will pick up you outside the venue so please keep an eye out for our van – you can’t miss it!

Pick Ups:

  • Helensvale Station is a central stop for anyone on the train coming from either direction. We’ll be waiting on the heavy rail side at the Kiss’n’Ride – keep an eye out for the branded van.
  • Sandbar (52 Esplanade, Surfers Paradise) overlooks the lapping waves of Surfers Paradise. Start your day here with a delicious breakfast and coffee. The beer options aren’t great (they used to be!). Sandbar is one block north of Cavill Mall.
  • Loose Moose (Oasis Centre, 75 Surf Parade, Broadbeach) is on the ground floor of the Oasis Centre in the heart of Broadbeach. Easy to reach by G:Link, the Loose Moose is near the main entrance to the centre.

Drop Offs:

We are flexible with our drop-off locations within the city based on guests’ needs and requests.

What’s Included

Included in the price: transportation in our private, air-conditioned van, guided brewery tour with explanation of the brewing process, all beer samples at the breweries we visit, beer education and history, snacks, and witty commentary (well, we think it is).

Please note that we are visiting working breweries and it’s suggested you wear closed-toe shoes so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. Also, since they don’t always run on a set schedule, we will try and catch the brewers in action but that can’t always be guaranteed; keep an open mind on the day because no matter what or who we see, the beers are always epic. Sometimes the itineraries will change at a whim; this may be because of traffic, a last-minute decision from the brewery or any number of things, so we ask for your patience and flexibility.

If there is a brewery or distillery you’re keen to check out, please include the request in the “Special Requirements” section when making your booking and we will try our best to make it happen.

Not finding the tour you want on the date you need? Check our Tour Calendar to see which tour is currently running on what date. Or feel free to give us a call – we might have created a special tour for the day that we can get you on, or we may be sold out. But you’ll never know unless you ask. We’re always happy to help and check availability for you.
