Our Sneeky Mid-Weeky tour visits three of the following venues.
We may mix it up a bit, but below is a rough itinerary of the day.

We start with an introduction to beer’s main ingredients and a few tasters to experience the unique flavours in each beer and understand the differences in what you’re drinking, whether it’s a lager or a stout. Once we’ve had a chat about the history of beer and a solid basic understanding of how everything fits together, we will get you behind the scenes to see where the action takes place.

With fresh and funky Miami vibes, Lost Palms is all about embracing the Gold Coast lifestyle! Take some time to kick back and relax, check out the brewing equipment and try some of their delicious, cold beers.

Gold Coast’s first brewpub, Precinct Brewing, offers guests a range of beer styles fresh from the tank, as well as delicious pizzas and – most evenings – live music that invites you to kick back and chill out.

The Gold Coast’s first Belgian brewery, Madocke Brewing has swung open the doors to their brand new, full-scale brewery! A welcoming venue with an authentic outdoor beer garden, the charm here makes it hard to tear yourself away. Guests relax with true-blue Belgian beer made right here on the Gold Coast and can hear the story of their humble beginnings. A core-range of beers plus guest taps ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The crew at Black Hops Brewing have created a welcoming venue with a tasting room perfectly structured to sample their range of delicious, award-winning beers. Speak to the brewers, learn about the brewing process and see how everything functions by getting up close and personal.

Burleigh Brewing is a pioneer in bringing craft beer to the masses, with the longest-running craft brewery in Queensland. Their tantalising tasting paddles filled with well-known beers and special releases will keep you well hydrated – and you might even be tempted take some home with you! Offering a VIP experience to our guests, we are treated to a walk-through of the brewery to understand the brewing process.

Situated on a quiet corner in Surfers Paradise, BOBs – which stands for Best of Beers – offers guests a respite from the craziness of the Glitter Strip. With a mouth-watering food menu and beers that are brewed just behind the bar, it’s a great place to end the day and transition to the night. With award-winning beers on tap, try a saison, a sour, a stout or a delicious lager.

Located a bit further south than the main group of Gold Coast breweries sits Currumbin Valley Brewing, a cosy, welcoming venue with an array of delicious taps to try. A dream in the making for co-owners Luke and Smokey, the chill vibes and the pinball game in the corner make it hard to leave, especially as you decide if you’re going to try the pilsner, the IPA, the hazy… or maybe their infamous Grape Bubblegum sour.

Hound & Stag are making waves on the Gold Coast – not just because they’re winning awards after less than a year of being open – as they set their sights on becoming the northern Gold Coast’s major music venue. Whether you visit for the frothies, the food, or the funky vibes, you’ll definitely have them down on your “to revisit” list.

Most Aussies have had at least one beer from James Squire in their past, but why not taste what’s fresh and brewed on site at The Lucky Squire in Broadbeach? A welcoming restaurant and brewery just off the beaten path in Broadbeach, The Lucky Squire showcases not only well-known beers, but some brewed-to-season fresh offerings that change regularly.

Where a location is indicated, we will pick up you outside the venue so please keep an eye out for our van – you can’t miss it!

Pick Ups:

  • Loose Moose (Oasis Centre, 75 Surf Parade, Broadbeach) is on the ground floor of the Oasis Centre in the heart of Broadbeach. Easy to reach by G:Link, the Loose Moose is near the main entrance to the centre.
  • Helensvale Station is a central stop for anyone on the train coming from either direction. We’ll be waiting on the heavy rail side at the Kiss’n’Ride – keep an eye out for the branded van.
  • Sandbar (52 Esplanade, Surfers Paradise) overlooks the lapping waves of Surfers Paradise. Start your day here with a delicious breakfast and coffee. The beer options aren’t great (they used to be!). Sandbar is one block north of Cavill Mall.

Drop Offs:

We are flexible with our drop-off locations within the city based on guests’ needs and requests.

Included in the price: transportation in our private, air-conditioned van, guided brewery tour with explanation of the brewing process, all beer samples at the breweries we visit, beer education and history, snacks, and witty commentary (well, we think it is) PLUS a take-away 4-pack of core range pale ale or ginger cider PER PERSON, selected from one of our partner breweries. Please note that no food is included in this tour, so we recommend a hearty lunch before pick up.

Please note that we are visiting working breweries and it’s suggested you wear closed-toe shoes so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. Also, since they don’t always run on a set schedule, we will try and catch the brewers in action but that can’t always be guaranteed; keep an open mind on the day because no matter what or who we see, the beers are always epic. Sometimes the itineraries will change at a whim; this may be because of traffic, a last-minute decision from the brewery or any number of things, so we ask for your patience and flexibility.
